Castletown Quays - Esperance

Sally Nevin

Such an amazing alignment of elements, something very rare in photography. To get lightening with a rainbow, set against an interesting subject at the right time of day, yeah! Not all that common. Like many structures from eras gone by there is not much left of the Castletown Quays jetty. It’s very significant to Esperance as it was a sea loading and unloading facility going back to the 1890’s. It is no longer maintained and has been left to perish but is considered to have a great historical value. Even though it’s a wilting structure there still are some good photographs to be created.
